Child Safety on the Road

Child Safety Among Arab Society - Training Leading Functionaries from the Arab Community to be Change Agents for Child Safety on the Road

This project focuses on issues regarding the safety of children on the road and around the car, particularly securing children with seat belts and other safety issues.

Social leaders of the community, such as: Imams (Muslim leaders); police officials and volunteers; clinic nurses; and leading local women who are active in the Arab Democratic Party, are recruited to pass on important information on child safety to the parents with easily implemented tools.

These recruited social leaders undergo a short training program with regard to child safety and how to introduce a new parenting culture of child safety issues being part of parental responsibility (as opposed to injury being predestined), just as health issues, education and school.
